ATQNews & Seven Wonders Launch Survey to Boost Nigerian Tourism

Nigeria’s tourism and hospitality industry is set for a major boost as ATQNews and Seven Wonders of Nigeria launch a nationwide survey to rank the Top 100 Hotels in Lagos and Nigeria. This initiative, hosted by Naija7Wonders, aims to recognize excellence in hospitality while also spotlighting the country’s best festivals, beaches, waterfalls, art galleries, and restaurants.

Beyond ranking top destinations, this survey seeks to highlight businesses and cultural sites that are actively shaping Nigeria’s tourism landscape. By engaging hoteliers, travel professionals, and industry stakeholders, the project will provide valuable insights into the nation’s evolving tourism sector. Hotels in Lagos with at least 30 rooms and those nationwide with 100 rooms or more qualify for participation.

This initiative comes at a crucial time as Nigeria continues to position itself as a key player in global tourism. With increased interest in domestic and international travel, recognizing top-performing establishments will not only drive more visitors but also encourage investment in Nigeria’s tourism infrastructure. Over the years, ATQNews and Seven Wonders of Nigeria have played a vital role in promoting the country’s attractions, and this survey builds on that legacy.

The timing is significant, as the findings will be revealed ahead of the 21st Akwaaba African Travel Market, scheduled for September 14th to 16th, 2024, in Lagos. As West Africa’s largest travel expo, Akwaaba attracts travel professionals, government officials, and investors looking to engage with Africa’s tourism industry.

The event will feature high-impact sessions, including the 11th Wonders of Nigeria Expo, 5th Aviation & Cargo Conference (CHINET), 4th African Medical Tourism Expo, and 9th African Youth Tourism Bantaba. It will also host the 7th Jollof Rice War, a culinary competition celebrating Africa’s most famous dish, and an African Tourism Conference where experts will discuss the industry’s future.

With Nigeria’s tourism sector poised for growth, the ATQNews & Seven Wonders of Nigeria survey presents a unique opportunity to celebrate industry leaders and showcase the best of the country’s hospitality and cultural heritage. As the survey results take shape, stakeholders can expect to see a renewed focus on quality, service, and the promotion of Nigeria’s top destinations.
