Canada deported 366 Nigerians between January and October 2025
as part of an intensified immigration enforcement campaign, the fastest in more than a decade, official data have shown.

Statistics obtained from the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) removals programme indicate that, beyond those already deported, 974 Nigerians are currently listed as “removal in progress,” meaning they are awaiting deportation from the country.

The figures highlight a sharp increase in enforcement actions against immigration violators amid Canada’s renewed crackdown on irregular migration and overstaying of visas.
