I am Ifeoluwa Oluwatosin Johnson, I was born and raised in Lagos State, Nigeria, in a closely knit, loving family with five siblings. Growing up in such a supportive environment taught me the value of relationships, integrity, and resilience. I was always curious, focused, and determined—qualities that helped me navigate challenges from a young age. My upbringing instilled in me a strong work ethic and a deep understanding of the power of communication, which naturally led me into this field.
*You live by the Golden Rule—”Do what you want others to do to you.” How has this influenced your career?*
Yes , It has shaped everything I do, from personal relationships to business decisions. In an industry where trust and credibility are everything, I believe in treating people with respect, fairness, and transparency—whether it’s clients, colleagues, or mentees. My approach to PR is built on authenticity because stories that truly connect come from a place of sincerity.
Working experiences
You’ve worked with major organizations like Arise News and Souq News. What were some of the biggest challenges you faced, and how did you overcome them?
True working in a male-dominated industry comes with its challenges—being underestimated, needing to prove your expertise repeatedly, and navigating leadership spaces where women are often underrepresented. But I never saw those as roadblocks; rather, they were opportunities to showcase my skills, build credibility, and push boundaries. I stayed focused, delivered results, and built strong professional relationships that reinforced my place in the industry.
*How has your faith and role model, Jesus Christ, influenced your leadership style?*
My faith is at the core of everything I do. Jesus exemplified servant leadership—leading with love, humility, and purpose. That’s the kind of leadership I strive for. Whether in PR, mentorship, or entrepreneurship, I aim to uplift others, create opportunities, and help people find their voice. Leadership isn’t just about authority; it’s about impact, and that’s what truly matters to me.
