Kenya Airways Strengthens Partnership With Nigerian Travel Operators At Akwaaba 2024

Kenya Airways has reaffirmed its commitment to deepening collaboration with Nigerian travel operators during the 2024 Akwaaba African Travel Market in Lagos.

Speaking at the event, James Nganga, Kenya Airways’ Country Manager for Nigeria, underscored the airline’s pivotal role in connecting stakeholders across aviation, hospitality, education, and tourism while offering top-tier transport solutions.

Nganga emphasised the airline’s goal to establish and strengthen relationships with tour operators, travel agents, and potential travelers in Nigeria.

“Kenya Airways is here to facilitate meaningful connections with stakeholders. Through our partnerships with entities like the Kenya Tourism Board and Pride Inn Hotels, we aim to build lasting relationships that benefit all parties,” he said.

During the exhibition, the airline showcased its wide range of offerings, including flights to major Kenyan cities such as Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, and Eldoret.

These services, complemented by inclusive tour packages, are tailored to provide seamless travel experiences for Nigerian travelers.

Nganga highlighted the importance of face-to-face interactions with stakeholders, noting that such engagements foster trust and enhance collaboration.

“Meeting stakeholders in person builds a stronger foundation for long-term partnerships. It’s impactful to put a face to a voice, and this event allows us to do just that,” he remarked.

The airline also presented its extensive global network, which connects travelers to Europe, the Middle East, the Far East, the United States, and numerous African countries.

This expansive reach positions the airline as a strategic partner for Nigerian tour operators catering to diverse travel needs, including leisure, education, and medical tourism.

Nganga reiterated Kenya Airways’ role in promoting Kenya’s tourism potential, describing it as a destination rich in cultural heritage and natural wonders.

“Tourism is one of Kenya’s strongest attractions. From wildlife safaris to cultural experiences, Kenya offers something for everyone. We are not just selling a destination; we are offering an unforgettable experience,” he said.

The airline has partnered with Kenyan hotels, including Pride Inn, to create attractive packages that combine transport and accommodation, simplifying travel planning for Nigerian agents and their clients.

Kenya Airways used the event to educate Nigerian travel agents about its user-friendly booking platforms, accessible through its website, local offices, and dedicated portals.

“Our inventory is designed to be easily accessible, ensuring seamless bookings for agents and their clients. We strive to make travel simple and efficient,” Nganga noted.

Nganga stressed the airline’s commitment to fostering economic ties between Kenya and Nigeria, highlighting the essential role of collaboration between travel operators and stakeholders in both markets.

“This event is about building bridges between our countries. Strengthening partnerships with Nigerian travel agents and tour operators is key to boosting tourism and promoting economic growth,” he said.

Kenya Airways’ participation at Akwaaba 2024 underscores its dedication to the Nigerian market and its vision of positioning Kenya as a premier travel destination.

Beyond tourism, Nganga spotlighted Kenya Airways’ role in supporting Nigerian travelers seeking educational opportunities and medical services in Kenya.

“Our mission is to provide seamless transport solutions that connect Nigerians to Kenya’s top educational institutions and healthcare facilities,” he added.

Kenya Airways continues to position itself as more than just a carrier but as a symbol of Kenya’s hospitality and commitment to excellence.

“Whether for tourism, business, or education, Kenya Airways is here to offer reliable, world-class transport solutions. We look forward to welcoming more Nigerians onboard and showcasing the best of Kenya,” Nganga concluded.

With a focus on collaboration, customer satisfaction, and a robust global network, Kenya Airways is poised to strengthen its presence in Nigeria and foster lasting relationships with key stakeholders in the travel industry.
