Comrade Ogun Stephen has emerged coordinator of the South-South and South-East zones of the Association of Tourist Boat Operators and Water Transporters of Nigeria (ATBOWATON).
Speaking recently at ATBOWATON’s meeting in Abuja, Stephen pledged to promote peace, cooperation and effective coordination among members across the two regions.
The new coordinator said his previous experience coordinating members from Rivers, Bayelsa and Anambra states would help him deliver on his new responsibilities.

Stephen, who also serves as Vice Chairman of the association, said his new role would build on his previous experience coordinating members across Rivers, Bayelsa and Anambra states.
Speaking recently at ATBOWATON’s meeting in Abuja, he said his appointment came unexpectedly, as he attended the meeting without anticipating a leadership position.
He said effective leadership requires patience, peace and the ability to bring members from different states together.Stephen recalled coordinating members from Bayelsa, Rivers and Anambra during a previous assignment, including waiting for nearly two hours for the Anambra delegation before proceeding with the journey.
He expressed appreciation to members for their confidence in him and pledged to work with members across the South-South and South-East zones to strengthen coordination within the association.
